Biography
Christian Eder has been a partner of the patent law firm Eder Schieschke & Partner mbB since 1999. He has been an authorized professional representative before the German Patent and Trademark Office and the European Patent Office since 1999. In addition, he is an authorized European Trademark and Design Attorney before the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).
Practice as Attorney
Christian Eder provides consulting services to nationally and internationally operating companies based in Germany and abroad in the entire field of intellectual property rights, particularly relating to patent and utility model law as well as trademark and design law.
His practice includes application and examination proceedings, (patent) opposition and nullity proceedings as well as (trademark) opposition and cancellation proceedings. His activities further include providing support in the enforcement of protective rights in infringement proceedings as well as strategically advising on developing and managing protective rights portfolios. Christian Eder also provides consulting services to clients with respect to concluding license agreements and other contractual matters in the field of intellectual property rights.

Christian Eder completed his studies of electrical engineering with an emphasis on data processing, computers and digital networking at the Technical University of Munich, Germany, in 1990.
After obtaining his diploma degree with a thesis on failure rates and error causes in fault-tolerant multiprocessor systems in 1990, he worked at the Association of German Liability, Accident and Motor Insurers (HUK-Verband) in Munich, Germany, as chief network supervisor until 1994, and was in charge of planning, realizing and enhancing the in-house computer network and network administration.
In 1995, Christian Eder began his training to become a German Patent Attorney and European Patent Attorney and successfully passed both examinations in 1999.
