Biography

Philipp Lux has been active in intellectual property since 2020. He gained experience in a major international law firm before joining Eder Schieschke & Partner mbB in 2021 where he receives personal and extensive training.

Practice as Trainee Attorney

Philipp Lux provides consulting services regarding application and examination proceedings to nationally and internationally operating companies based in Germany and abroad in the field of intellectual property rights, particularly relating to patent and utility model law as well as trademark and design law.

His practice includes preparing patent applications and handling examination proceedings, (patent) opposition and nullity proceedings as well as (trademark) opposition and cancellation proceedings. His activities further include providing support in the enforcement of protective rights in infringement proceedings as well as strategically advising on developing and managing protective rights portfolios.

Technological Background und Career

From 2012 to 2020, Philipp Lux studied physics at the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich, Germany. For one year, he worked at a project on turbulences at the Hong Kong Observatory in Hong Kong in collaboration with Hong Kong International Airport, resulting in his first publication. Afterwards, he spent one year at the University of California, Berkeley, at the College of Chemistry; in an international group of researchers, he worked at a project on signal reconstruction. Along with traditional areas of physics, other focal points of his studies were in the fields of solid-state physics, semiconductor technology, artificial intelligence, quantum computing, transmission technology and meteorology.
